The Revista Iberoamericana de Psicología y Salud, Official Journal of the Federación Iberoamericana de Asociaciones de Psicología (FIAP) and of the Sociedad Universitaria de Investigación en Psicología y Salud (SUIPS) publishes bilbliometric and empirical articles and meta-analytic reviews focused on topics dealing with psychology and health sciences. Papers in Spanish, Portuguese and English may be submitted. The journal is driven to researchers, academics and professionals, especially from the Latin-American community, in Psychology and health sciences (e.g., medicine, nursing, physiotherapy) with the aim of serving as a bridge between those areas and to transfer evidence based knowledge to academics and professionals at real time.

Resumen
En los últimos años se observa una tendencia creciente de investigaciones que han centrado el interés en aspectos relacionados con la salud. En este trabajo se estudian las características de las publicaciones de educación para la salud en las instituciones educativas en España durante los últimos 20 años. Se han consultado diferentes bases de datos científicas, analizando en cada uno de los trabajos el tipo de intervención, la temática abordada, la metodología y su adecuación a los criterios establecidos por la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS). Los resultados obtenidos confirman: a) de los 245 artículos obtenidos, sólo cuatro de ellos cumplían los criterios establecidos por la OMS para las instituciones educativas promotoras de salud; b) las intervenciones se fundamentan más en la prevención que en la promoción de la salud; y c) las instituciones universitarias tienen más protagonismo que las no universitarias en la difusión de la promoción de la salud.
Abstract
In the last few years there has been an increasing tendency of studies which have been paying attention to issues related to health. This work is aimed to the study of the characteristics of the publications of health education which have been released in Spain for the last 20 years. Different scientific data have been consulted, analysing in each work the type of intervention, the topic dealt with, the methodology and their suitability to the criteria established by the World Health Organization (WHO) The results state: a) from the 245 articles studied, only four of them fulfilled the criteria established by the WHO for the educative institutions which promote health; b) The interventions are mainly focused on prevention rather than on health promotion, and c) the university institutions have a more prominent role than the no university ones to spread health promotion.
